Hurray Design’s tagline, “Design Made Happy” resonates with Kimberly on a deeper level. She grew up without a mother, which meant she had to be in charge of household chores even at a young age. While many kids would complain at the mere thought of doing that, she felt happy.

There’s a feeling of fulfillment that came with tidying up their house, rearranging furniture pieces, and decorating it. Those moments were what convinced her a profession in this field would make her happiest. She took up Interior Design at Polytechnic University of the Philippines.

As with other jobs, it’s not always sunshine and rainbows, but thanks to Hurray Design, she gets to make other people happy with a beautifully executed space. Kimberly says, “Whatever you create with your heart, the outcome will always be great.” That’s true, but whatever she creates with her hands, through the many sketches she’s done with her drafting board, can be truly wonderful as well. When the time comes for her to build her dream home, she can picture it as something eclectic, and mostly inspired by Australian design.
